Definition:

Your mindset comprises your beliefs and your impressions of the world as you have learnt it to appear to you through your experiences and training.

Having the right mindset is critical to your business success. Henry Ford famously said, "Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you are right."

Believing that you can do what you set out to do is one of the common traits of all successful business people. But how do you feel when:

* You see others who have made a lot of money since you last saw them?
* You need to make a lot of cold calls?
* You are under pressure to make sales?
* You are told something you want to do is impossible?
* People think you're mad because you haven't got a 'proper job'?
* You lose a sale?
* A project you are working on fails?
* Something goes extremely well and you can't believe how easy it was?

Asking yourself these questions and deeply examining how you feel about the answers and what instances they remind you of, is the beginning of working out who you are and where you want to head.
