Stephen R. Covey
7 Habits of Highly Effective People
A seminal work with over 15,000,000 copies sold. A very involving book which can be fairly heavy going at times but bang on the money in almost every sense.
If you have a tenner in your bank account and can spend an hour a night reading, then here's a quick way to change you life - it really is that good.
I strongly believe much of this knowledge should be taught in schools.
The result of eight years' research in to luck and fortune. How to generate good fortune in your life for the price of a pint!
An entertaining read from an exceptionally interesting author who also lists membership of the magic circle, much TV work and both a degree and doctorate in psychology on his CV.
Contains self testing throughout the book too.
John O'Connor & John Seymour

If you want to learn about Neuro-Linguistic Programming, this is a great place to start. Protégés of John Grinder & Richard Bandler, the 'discoverers' of NLP.
This is an excellent grounding in the subject and will show you what's possible in life if you've never read anything like this before. Very involving and quite heavy in places but a huge amount of information that will change your opinions on possibility and human interaction.
Tom Peters

Tom Peters is an outstanding business consultant who consults directly to large businesses and also provides seminars around the world.
This book is about throwing away the rule book. How to not be like everyone else and how to let your ideas flourish. It is even laid out unconventionally and I found it to be refreshing.
It's main purpose is to challenge you and your thoughts and it scores highly on that front.
Felix Dennis
How to Get Rich
As it says in the title! Felix Dennis is one of Britain's richest men who made his fortune from nothing before almost ruining everything he had made.
An entertaining and straight forward read written in simple language. The author spends time highlighting his mistakes as much as his successes and his attitude towards business success is inspirational.
A great no-nonsense account of his story.
Tom Hopkins
How to Master the Art of Selling
This is a very complete works filled with loads of information on all aspects of sales. Some of it is a little 'Americanised' and may need some translation to work in the UK or Australia but that shouldn't put you off; after all the Americans are the best at this.
